The Food Pantry~

I saw you stare as I quickly looked away,

Did you see me?

Just yesterday it seems, I passed you

in town... Life was good.

I had no idea life could change so fast.

Now I look away, ashamed & weary,

I depend on you & the items you leave.

Do you know how much it means?

I sit waiting for the right time to enter,

Afraid someone will see me...  But,

My children are hungry...

I have nothing left...

I am empty,

And my cupboards are bare...

I  quickly rush in as I fill a box

that brings hope...

Did you see me?
